But in addition, with more than 350 kilometers of coastline, it has more than 200 beaches, some of which are considered the most beautiful in Spain, Europe and the world. If we add to that its privileged climate, we will understand why the Asturian beaches are the favorite of Spanish and international tourism.

Perfect to be included in a route along the Asturian coast, we invite you to enjoy 10 beaches at a stone's throw from the hotel.

1. Cuevas del Mar beach

Located at the mouth of the Cuevas River, in the town of Llanes, Asturias, it is a beach separated from the open sea by a gorge 60 meters wide and 200 meters long, which acts as a protective barrier from the force of the Cantabrian Sea. Surrounded by mountains and vegetation, it is a karst landscape of immense beauty, and its name comes from the very large rock formations, perforated by the activity of the sea for millions of years, which has generated several caves and tunnels.

It is an almost wild beach, golden sand, with pebbles and boulders in some areas, where you will find crystal clear waters in which to cool off or dive quietly, and you can even swim through the caves. It has bars and restaurants, parking, lifeguard, Red Cross, showers, toilets, cleaning and garbage cans.

3. Playa de Gulpiyuru

Reserved for those who dare to adventure, it is located in a secluded area, 100 meters from the open sea and to visit it you will have to arm yourself with patience and take a long walk. There are no stores or kiosks nearby, nor beach bars, and its name comes from the Asturian language, which means "circle of water". It stands out for its flora and fauna, with lush surrounding vegetation, which imposes itself in the distance from the sand.

Without direct connection to the sea, Gulpiyuri was formed by the action of groundwater, which flooded the doline on which it is located, whereby the action of water managed to erode the limestone that lies beneath the ground for thousands of years and reached a point where the cavity was enlarged and connected to the sea, creating on land a beach of crystal clear waters that rise and fall according to the dictates of the tides.

At 40 meters long and 50 meters in diameter, it is considered the smallest in the world, which is why it was declared a natural monument on December 26, 2001.
