They are composed of limestone rock, with a rugged relief, product of water and ice erosion, being some of its most famous and famous places the \"Lagos de Covadonga\", of glacial origin, so called because of its proximity to the Basilica of Covadonga.<\/p><p>It is said that the name Picos de Europa is due to the sailors who, when they returned from their marine incursions, the first thing they saw were the imposing peaks of the mountains that adorn the park.
